I am a novelist with a keen love for medieval fantasy books and historical action books.

I spend a lot of time experiencing the rich lore of MMORPGs.

From an early age, I found my mind drifting into a world of my own, and in my spare time, I would often find myself drawing maps of imagined worlds, alongside several characters inside them. Far from abandoning this habit, I slowly built upon it until one day (shortly before leaving high school), I began writing my first novel, intending it to be the first of a lifelong career of follow-ups.

Several of the scenes in my novels were inspired by real things I've done in my life. I've worked underground in Scotland before (fitting mining communications cables), I've worked on several farms around Todmorden (in Yorkshire), and I also enjoy practicing my bushcraft survival skills in the wild.

On History

The political structures of Fulminia draw directly from the Roman Republic, the Macedonian Empire, and the fractious city-states of the ancient Mediterranean. The Kings’ Union is not merely a name — it is a philosophy, one with a history and enemies and contradictions that predate the events of the books by centuries.

On Faith

“Gods in fantasy are too often omnipotent or absent. In Fulminia, they are present, contested, and deeply political.”

Tiius, Odall, and Duella did not spring from imagination alone. They represent real tensions — the conflict between civic virtue and personal power, between freedom and neutrality, between light and the seductive logic of darkness. The Selvo dynasty did not simply choose evil. They made a bargain they believed was rational.
